An elderly Archer and T'Pol, before both die, (Archer due to old age, and T'Pol by the stress in her sleep of a broken heart) watch the ENTERPRISE launch. Following a request by T'Pau, April's ENTERPRISE on her maiden flight diverts with the bodies of both to Vulcan for burial of Vulcan's heroes - both had been forgotten on Earth. It's safe to say that the Star Trek Movie will feature many unfortunate changes to the ship. In the foreground is the S.S. Sirius, 2nd to last ship based on the NX-design. (The Antares will be the last)

First: 24th Century Florida: As a sadder and older Picard walks with Guinan along the outer walls upon hearing of the death of their friend Flint, they pass signs and posters of the Museum of the Order of the Daedalians which occupies part of what was once NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Several ships made famous over the years in inventory are visible atop pedestals in the background. Left to right, S.S. Jefferies, U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701A (Repaired), Columbia Orbiter (Reconstructed), Archer's Enterprise, Shuttlecraft Galileo 7 II, and U.S.S. Potemkin. Not visible but popular is Taylor Annex - a time-traveling Klingon Bird of Prey with an interior filled with exhibits featuring the diversity and importance of Earth's sea life. Taylor Annex receives more visitors than all of the other ships combined. Archer knows that NCC-1701D will never be here, but someday he hopes that NCC-1701E will be brought down for permanent display in Starfleet's equivalent of the 21st Century's National Air & Space Museum.

Second: Humans abandon Earth by the 35th Century ... for reasons unknown, but survive in space and amongst tens of thousands of scattered but rarely divided colonies elsewhere.

The S.S. Jefferies (top) was the  ship featured on the Bridge of the Star Trek ships, lest we see the design below there if the ENTERPRISE.

Both drawings are by Matt Jefferies, who along the way sized u the ship's size, but left the original scale on the Bridge. This story makes good use of both designs, and fits the first well onto the Bridge as a tribute.

Kirk's Enterprise launches (2263)			Archer proposes to Adalid	Archer marries Adalid in the  Starfleet Chapel
The couple asks Porthos for some Privacy.	Cutler and Adalid in the vehicle that will kill both of them.	The Admin HQ of Vega Colonies (Vega 9) and the doomed craft before the fateful launch. Archer and T'Pol enter Carlsbad Caverns, containing the secret UESPA underground complex known  as Starfleet  Headquarters.	5-year mission ends as Kirk meets with Spock, Garth, Decker, Arex, and Xon before leaving the ship. This view of the nuclear obliteration of Starfleet by Romulan attack designed to fool Romulans into believing they have destroyed Earth is crafted in Hollywood and sent to Romulus as a fake Romulan signal	And in the Romulan Senate the leaders buy the trick, lowering their guard, and allowing for the Earth ships to get in close enough for an appropriate response.			T'Keras, the best friend of T'Pol, the future wife of Soval, and the mother of Sarek and grandmother of Spock.	T'Pau risks execution for revealing to Earth that the Remans are on the move from R Hydrae to the Romulan system, with Earth interests in the middle.
Archer and T'Pol go to Vulcan's T'Argetem Sea on the North Pole to convince T'Pau to go into space to help Hoshi. T'Pau has an un-Vulcanlike deep fear of space travel - but fear she finds logical.	The Boomer Valiant is modified for a special mission, and will be seen again in "Where No Man Has Gone Before."	Mayweather is responsible for planning the Valiant's Mission.	A rare look at the Vulcan Embassy in Sausalito.	NX-03 VENTURE shortly before disappearing for a century and a half, reappearing in the Neutral Zone with crew saved by NCC-1701A.	Shortly before "The Undiscovered Country," Kirk and company can't save Venture but can save its crew.
OThe crew of 83 of the destroyed Venture had abandoned ship and is beamed aboard the U.S.S. ENTERPRISE	The older U.S.S. ENTERPRISE punches through to Warp Speed.	Approaching Earth, NCC-1701 completes its five-year mission, offloading some crew and all Shuttlecraft. A larger Shuttle arrives from Earth to transport cargo  off the ship.	With only a few crew remaining aboard, NCC-1701  is backed into  Spacedock for major upgrades.	T'Pol contemplates a playful cub Sehlat.	Comparative visits - Spock's first and last visit to NX-01 (in the museum by then).
The NX-C borrowed by Archer for a personal mission to find a stranded Illyrian ship.	NX-01 passes Luna 1 in salute before heading to Earth for the last time.	This computerized illustration of the new Bridge design for the S.S. Jefferies causes Shran  and T'Pol to go to  blows ...	Shran is fine with the design, but does not appreciate that he is not depicted as  the Captain.	Shran meets his end in this scene when explosives detonate ...	... and an imposter of Shran goes to Risa  to set up the events in "These are  the Voyages."
A Klingon scout watches a Vulcan scout witness the end of the S.S. Cochrane (NCC-02) in Romulan space. This battle will be remembered in "Balance of Terror." The Vulcan V'Las on this Scoutship had tipped off the Romulans	NNX-C is also on a mission to find and recover bodies lost from ENTERPRISE near Azati Prime.	NCC-1701 finds the long-lost NCC-01 (S.S.Bonaventure) in the Delta Triangle.	Rajiin as she really is, revealed shortly before T'Pau, T'Pol and Archer  kill her.
Archer, T'Pol, T'Pau et. al. corner Rajiin at the station used by her to construct Earth ship copies that were used to ignite the Earth-Romulan Wars. Before they destroy the station, they must  recover a computerized record of  Hoshi's memory scan from it.				Hoshi laughs and T'Pol is astounded as Soval is disguised as a Xindi prior to landing on Romulus.	The unmanned, automated disposable Sled containing the parts of the unfinished S.S. Jefferies arrives at Earth.
Hernandez back to full form with Kimura, who Hoshi will marry and  die with on Tarsus 4 many decades later..	An early picture of Hernandez after her restoration begins following serious injuries while  in orbit on a Shuttlepod as she watches  her ship go down.	In Kirk's quarters, a painting of the doom on Tarsus 4,  where he lost Ruth Riley (Shore Leave)  - sister of Star Service  Lieutenant Kevin Riley.	TThe "bird" on the ship identifies it as Reman, not Romulan as both are in a hurry to get Remans to safety from a failing R-Hydrae system. Only decades later will Spock on Romulus learn about this  distinction. Romulan in origin.	Good thing the station "Dead Stop" had scanned and  recorded Hoshi's  Brain  patterns while there. After a new brain is grown from Hoshi's non-Embryonic (Adult) stem cells, and micro-beamed to replace  the dying one in Hoshi's skull, Hoshi is given her memory  back - as it existed in 2152, by T'Pau's mind meld with both the station and Hoshi.	In 2157, Hoshi will have no  memory of being in Brazil since 2151, nor of the Xindi, nor of a marriage to  the abusive husband who wanted  her dead (and arranged the crash that killed Cutler and Archer's wife.   This is why Archer and T'Pol  needed T'Pau to  go into space, and this miraculous recovery for Hoshi is why the story is called  "Fairy Tale."
Little-known fact about the RNZ  - the Romulans must stay within the yellow corridor and pass the outposts for close scanning. If Earth enters the ribbon or the star system, it is war. Same goes if Romulan ships stray out of the narrow travel lanes they are confined to, by treaty, that only lead to R-Hydrae and what is by then known as the Mira Supernova (whose birth created the Mutara Nebula).  n			Both systems Romulans are allowed to visit by treaty are rich in a substance Romulans treasure - Roginium - the main ingredient in the dust sphere and available to shield in cast form the iron  asteroids upon which the Outposts are built. UESPA, and not the later Federation is responsible for manning and maintaining the outposts.
